Hi everyone and welcome, it’s Loren here from Acting Classes In Perth. In this FREE Online Acting Class – Where Can I Take My Acting Career In The Future?
1. Hobby:
Well, first of all – hobby. There are so many actors who just pursue acting as a hobby or as a creative outlet. And they get involved in the independent films, short films, student films, community theater is another great one, and, you know what, I think that's absolutely ok. There's sometime a little bit of snobiness between hired and professional actors who look down on hobby actors, but you know what, screw them. You know, I think it's great if you're taking that control of your life and having a heck of a lot of fun doing it, getting up on stage. I think you gonna have great stories for life, I think you'll have a whole lot of really interesting experiences that you can share with your family and friends. So, hobby is an absolutely great way for you to pursue your acting in a really creative, fun and supportive environment.
2. Professional acting in Australia:
You also have a career nationally. So, this could be a professional acting here in Perth or, more likely, over on the east coast in Sydney or in Melbourne. And you're going to be doing a lot of paid acting work and pursuing your acting in a more of a professional environment. Film, feature film, Australian, national feature film, I should say, I guess, but also Australian television as well.
3. International career:
And then you also have the final area, which would be international career, and this would be, you know, pursuing acting as a professional actor internationally, say, in Canada or the US, which is Hollywood or independent LA. You can also do it in UK and there's a few other areas around as well. So, there is a top three areas that you could pursue your acting here, starting off in Perth and who knows what might come in the future.
