The Top 3 Ways To Overcome Rejection As An Actor
Video Transcript:
Hi everyone and welcome, it’s Loren here from Acting Classes In Perth. In this FREE Online Acting Class, The Top 3 Ways To Overcome Rejection As An Actor. Especially if you were told or found out that you haven't got the film role after you attended an audition.
Now, first of all you need to know that it's not "Personal", it's just "Business". Unfortunately someone else might have just slightly suited that role more than you did. Now that does not mean you are not a good actor or that your audition wasn't any good. It just means they fit the role a bit better than you did. So it's not personal.
I also want for you to find someone whom you can trust and whom you can talk to, a family member or a friend. But in addition to that I really like for you to search for ideally another actor. Someone who knows what you're going through, someone who may have been in a similar situation in the past. They are going to know what you're going through and also how you can move forward in progressing forward and getting over this feeling of rejection that you may have currently.
Finally I also want you to try your best "To Let It Go". Take a deep breath and focus on the "Here and Now". It was what it was, when it was but that does not mean it has to do anything to do with now. You're going to go forward, you've got plenty more auditions coming up that you can source and go for.
All the best of luck with them. Don't get stuck in the past, focus on the present, work towards the future. I am sure you will have much more luck coming up in the near future.
From myself and the team here at Acting Classes In Perth I hope you have a great day. Stay safe and until we see you next time, Happy Acting.
