The Top 3 Ways Actors Must Develop Their Body And Movement Skills
Video Transcript:
Hi everyone and welcome, it’s Loren here from Acting Classes In Perth. In this FREE Online Acting Class, The Top Three Ways Actors Must Develop Their Body And Movement Skills:
1. Yoga:
First of all, you have to start with yoga. Yoga is a great tool for actors and I know a lot of actors that do yoga and even if it’s just 15 or 20 minutes for a couple of days.
2. Meditation and/or Relaxation:
You also need to explore and improve your meditation and/or relaxation skills. You're going to get to set or go to an audition where you are a little bit anxious or a little bit nervous. And you can't have that, come through in your performance. So you really have to master meditation and also relaxation to help you take back control of yourself and be present in the moment.
3. Different Movements:
And finally, I would like for you to explore some different movement based acting methods. For example, you could look at Viewpoints by Anne Bogurt. You could also look at Alexander technique. I would also strongly suggest you research and look at the Tadashi Suzuki method as well as Kabuki method.
Well that's all the time we have for today, stay safe, and until I see you next time, happy acting.
