Hi everyone and welcome, it’s Loren here from Acting Classes In Perth. In this FREE Online Acting Class, we look at The Top 3 Ways Actors Can Build Their Toolbox For Success
1.Develop Different Characters:
I want you to develop different characters. I want you to develop different characters that you will then able to bring out in any and every acting situation. From set, to workshop, to audition. Find a way to explore these different characters and always remember them. Have them stored in the back of your mind because in the future, it will make your workload much much faster. Because you can draw on little aspects of those characters as you move forward in future projects.
2.Learn Different Monologues:
I want you to learn several different monologues. I also want you to have different styles and methods that you have explored and don’t forget to build up a small box of props. The more prepared you are for an audition, a workshop, for any set work that you get. I want you to be prepared because the more prepared you are, the more ready you are, the more professional you look and that is going to lead to a much better project and also more jobs in the future.
3.Keep A Journal:
And finally, I want you to journal as much as you can. I want you to look back and journal your process as you go. What are some of the activities that you did and that you found really effective in a workshop space or in a rehearsal space or maybe how you tackled a problem on set that came up. Journal all this information down because in the future, it’s really good to be able to look at it, reflect on what you did in the past, how you overcame it and what you were able to do to implement moving forward.
