Number one, you're need to trust yourself before you're ever going to be able to trust anyone else. As an actor you will be putting in a lot of trust into others. You know you're going to be relying on directors and other actors to help you along the way and so you do need to trust them. But you're not going to be able to if you don't first trust yourself and know that everything will be okay.
Number two, learn to discover and improve yourself as a person and as an individual. The actors journey is so important that you work on improving yourself and finding that true authentic self within you. You will find that as you pursue acting your outlook on life increases and you find more happiness and abundance in all that you end up doing and pursuing. Acting is a great way to build that inner self and also your confidence and fine happiness. Again if you haven't had that in your life for sometime.
You also need to hold on to answers within you and what I mean by that is really using your instinct. That first inner voice that comes to you when you're faced with choices or decisions. Don't just ride on this critique that sits on your shoulder and really over analyses what you do. I want you to step back, I want you to be a little bit more objective and go with more with the kind of organic or the in the moment instinct that you have about choices and about the way you act in your life.
