How To Use Everyday Experiences To Improve Your Acting
Video Transcript:
Hi everyone and welcome, it’s Loren here from Acting Classes In Perth. In this FREE Online Acting Class we explore How Actor Use Their Everyday Experiences To Improve Their Acting, to improve their learning opportunities as an actor.
Now, first of all finding a lesson in everything you do. Especially an opportunity to learn is such a valuable skill.
So what I want you to do is, it doesn't matter if it is a workshop, it doesn't matter if you're at an audition, it doesn't matter if you got a role in a film set, it doesn't matter if there was a feedback given to you by a teacher, it doesn't matter if it is a work environment, it doesn't matter if it is a social environment, it doesn't matter if it is anything or everything.
I want you to find so much within that you can learn from. You can learn about the human nature, you can learn about human psychology. This is all translatable over to your characters.
Actors have to learn, they have to almost immerse themselves in the world around them and be very observant. Use all your senses to soak in that world, put all that information in your "Toolbox". Because one day as an actor you're going to need to draw something out, something that right now might seem really really insignificant. But it long run it may be such a key component to a character that you play further down the track.
From myself and the team here at Acting Classes In Perth we wish you all the best with your acting and we definitely hope to see you again soon. Stay safe. And, as always, happy acting.
